John Havlicek...of the Patriots???
I love Gil Santos and Gino Cappelletti, the Pats veteran radio announcing crew, but they're slowly descending into John Madden/Pat Summerall/Tim McCarver territory. It's barely into the second half of the game against the Chargers, and Santos has already called Mike Vrabel 'Steve' three times, while Cappelletti noted that Pats coach 'John Havlicek' was pacing down the sideline. Havlicek...Belichick...similar, I know. But c'mon guys, this is your own team!

I THOUGHT that's what he said, but I thought *I* must have heard him wrong... Oh well. They also made a couple of gaffs in the first half where they called incomplete passes as complete and then Gino says, "My heart spoke before my head." Whatever!
Yeah, they're starting to sound old. Especially Cappelletti. I actually haven't listened to a full broadcast in a while. I guess they're still preferable over Madden/Michaels or Nantz/Simms. I like Simms (since he's one of the few national guys who actually likes the Pats), but Nantz is really bad. Bring back Greg Gumbel!
